A diverse selector and budding producer from Singapore’s Darker Than Wax label, William J fuses a deep love for the most soulful sounds with booming machine workouts, raw disco cuts and sub bass pressure. A student of pirate radio and NYC club legends, his decade of experience behind the decks has created a distilled sonic signature built around deep selections and blistering technique.
Aside from his integral role coordinating Darker Than Wax’s releases and operations, he also co-hosts REKOD, the label’s monthly podcast featuring rising selectors across Asia. Always on the hunt for lost cuts and new talents, William J is a mainstay in the Singapore scene and a familiar face across Asia with guest spots in Tokyo, Shanghai, Beijing, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, and Bali. Expect to hear more original material in 2020 under his production alias Dexter Colt.
